Key Responsibilities
As a Distribution Centre Shipper and Receiver, your primary responsibilities include:
Receiving and Inspection:
- Receive, inspect, and ticket incoming orders.
- Process and complete purchase orders accurately.
Shipping and Transfers:
- Prepare shipments and transfers to retail stores.
- Ensure shipping and receiving procedures are followed correctly.
Inventory Management:
- Investigate and document inventory discrepancies.
- Process and report damages promptly.
Operational Efficiency:
- Maintain accuracy in all inventory and warehouse procedures.
- Support housekeeping standards to keep the work environment safe and organized.
Health and Safety:
- Follow all health and safety protocols as part of our workplace policies.
Other Duties:
- Perform additional tasks and directives as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or Shift Leader.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To excel in this role, you’ll need the following:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency with the ability to learn new systems easily.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Comfort working on ladders up to 10 feet high.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours during peak holiday seasons.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented and cooperative environment.
- A commitment to safety and maintaining a clean workspace.
