Job Requirements

Candidates are expected to hold a secondary school graduation certificate or have equivalent experience. While previous experience is not necessary, as training will be provided, applicants should be comfortable with handling basic computer tasks, specifically using an electronic cash register and an Interac payment machine. The position requires in-person work at the Treats Talbot Centre location, with no remote option.

Responsibilities

In this role, the selected candidate will manage customer payments, whether through cash, credit, or debit, using a cash register. Responsibilities also include taking reservations or orders for take-out, assisting with basic inventory tasks such as stocking shelves, and keeping the counter area clean. The cashier will also engage in suggestive selling to inform customers about additional products they may enjoy and provide friendly, efficient service to ensure customer satisfaction.

Work Environment and Conditions

This is a physically active role where the employee will be required to sit, stand, and walk throughout their shift. The workplace environment is fast-paced, ideal for those who enjoy staying active and engaging directly with customers. Candidates must be bondable and able to provide references upon request. The successful candidate should also have their own transportation, as required for the job.
