Job Responsibilities:
As a Server at Sunset Grill, your responsibilities are integral to creating a positive dining experience for each guest. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring they feel welcomed and attended to throughout their meal. Your duties will include:
- Greeting Guests: Make customers feel welcome from the moment they step through the door. Set the tone for their dining experience with a friendly attitude and warm hospitality.
- Menu Knowledge: Learn the menu thoroughly so you can describe food and beverages to customers with confidence. Be ready to answer any questions they might have about ingredients or preparation.
- Order Taking: Efficiently take food and beverage orders, making sure to listen closely to any special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Serving Food and Beverages: Deliver food and drinks to the table in a timely and organized manner, ensuring everything is in accordance with the guests’ orders.
- Guest Interaction: Check on guests throughout their meal, ensuring they are satisfied with their food and service. Refill drinks and address any needs they might have.
- Table Maintenance: Clear dirty dishes promptly, ensuring that tables are kept clean and tidy throughout the meal.
- Side Work: Help set up your serving section before shifts and clean up after each meal service. This includes restocking the server station with supplies and assisting with closing duties after your shift ends.

To be successful in this role, you should be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous Experience: While experience as a server is preferred, it is not a strict requirement. We value a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and the ability to work in a busy environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills are essential, as you will need to interact effectively with guests and other staff members.
- Customer-Centric Attitude: A friendly, personable demeanor and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction are crucial. You should genuinely enjoy making people smile and ensuring they have a positive dining experience.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other servers, kitchen staff, and management to provide a seamless service to our customers.
- Ability to Work Under Pressure: The ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure is key, especially during busy periods.
- Availability: Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekdays, weekends, and potentially evening shifts. Full-time availability is preferred.
