Competitive Compensation and Benefits Package:
ABC Freightlines offers a competitive compensation package that includes:
$27.50 per hour
Overtime pay of $41.25 per hour after 44 hours per week
10 paid vacation days or vacation pay at 4% of gross pay
10 days of Job Protected Unpaid Leave for personal emergencies
MELT Training cost advancement with easy instalments (MELT – Mandatory Entry Level Training)
Responsibilities:
The successful candidates will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
Operating and driving tractor-trailers to transport goods and materials across Canada
Following all safety standards and procedures
Performing pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure fleet standards are met
Recording driving and freight information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption electronically
Following guidelines for food load distribution, handling, and safety
Receiving and relaying information to dispatch
Ensuring on-time deliveries and pickups
Maintaining secure loads
Reporting discrepancies and delivery delays
Performing preventative maintenance on the fleet
Completing paperwork accurately and submitting it daily to the head office
Maintaining a professional and courteous attitude
Qualifications:
ABC Freightlines is looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Valid AZ driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Strong oral and written communication skills in English
Ability to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to equipment and vehicles
Knowledge of main highways in Ontario and geographical knowledge of other provinces
Ability to drive long hours and distances
Proficiency in operating GPS and electronic logbooks
Knowledge of truck driving rules and regulations
Positive and friendly attitude
Reliable, punctual, and excellent organizational skills
Clean criminal record
