Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service during all stages of the Driver Examination Services.
  • Assist applicants by providing accurate information about licensing processes, requirements, and regulations.
  • Conduct vision screening, administer knowledge tests (written or oral), and take applicant photos.
  • Schedule and dispatch road tests while ensuring proper documentation and verification of applicant details.
  • Collect applicable fees for various transactions and issue temporary licences when necessary.
  • Review and validate identity documents and investigate errors on driver records, initiating corrections when needed.
  • Adhere to Ministry of Transportation guidelines, company policies, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance service delivery and stay updated on regulations and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of applicable sections of the Highway Traffic Act and related government policies.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle complex or challenging situations professionally.
  • Intermediate computer skills to manage data and process transactions efficiently.
  • Ability to multitask, manage sensitive personal information, and meet deadlines independently.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making abilities, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a GED or high school diploma.
  • A valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence.
  • At least two years of experience in customer service, demonstrating excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Completion of the Customer Service Agent training program.
