About NIIST

The National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST) is a constituent Laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research(CSIR). Initially established in 1975 as a CSIR Complex, it was named as the Regional Research Laboratory in 1978 and later renamed as NIIST in 2007. The institute has established state-of-the-art facilities for conducting advanced research in the areas of interest. 

1. Project Associate I

Vacancies - 12

Qualification

• Master’s Degree in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Zoology/ Food Science/ Food Technology/ Physics

Or

• B. Tech. in Food Technology / Food Engineering / Food Processing/ Chemical Engineering / Agricultural Engineering/ Mechanical engineering

2. Project Associate II

Vacancies - 03

Qualification

• Master’s Degree in Physics with 2 years experience 

Or

• Master’s Degree in Chemistry with 2 years experience in ceramic processing.

Or

• B.E / B.Tech in Metallurgical / Materials Engineering with 2 years research experience

3 Project Assistant

Vacancies - 01

Qualification

• 3 year’s Diploma in (Metallurgical / Mechanical Engineering).
