പ്രധാനമായും ഇലക്ട്രോണിക്സ് മെറ്റീരിയലുകളുടെ മേഖലയിൽ പ്രായോഗിക സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യകൾ വികസിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള സവിശേഷമായ ആശയമെന്ന നിലയിൽ, ഇൻഫർമേഷൻ ടെക്നോളജി വകുപ്പിന് (മുമ്പ് ഇലക്ട്രോണിക്സ് വകുപ്പ്) കീഴിൽ 1990 മാർച്ചിൽ ഒരു രജിസ്റ്റേർഡ് സയന്റിഫിക് സൊസൈറ്റിയായി സെന്റർ ഫോർ മെറ്റീരിയൽസ് ഫോർ ഇലക്ട്രോണിക്സ് ടെക്നോളജി (സി-മെറ്റ്) സ്ഥാപിച്ചു. . പൂനെ (ഹെഡ് ക്വാർട്ടേഴ്സ്), ഹൈദരാബാദ്, തൃശൂർ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന 3 ലബോറട്ടറികൾ ഓരോ സ്ഥലത്തും പ്രത്യേക ഗവേഷണ മേൽനോട്ടത്തോടെയാണ് C-MET പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നത്.

പ്രായ പരിധി: Not exceeding 40 years (as on last date of receipt of applications) (Relaxable up to 45 years in case of exceptional candidates)
Qualification
- M.E. / M.Tech / Ph.D. in Physics / Chemistry / Material Sciences / Chemical Engineering / Ceramics /Nano materials/Material Sciences Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Metallurgy from a recognized University/ Research Institution.
Experience
- Minimum three-years / Ph.D. with minimum one-year postqualification experience in the relevant field in R & D Laboratory / Universities in India / Abroad.
