Sunset Grill is looking for enthusiastic and friendly Hosts to join our team at our Cambridge location. If you enjoy being the first point of contact for guests and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Job Responsibilities:
As a Host, you will be responsible for creating a positive first impression and ensuring that guests have a smooth and pleasant dining experience. Your primary duties will include:
- Greeting Guests: Welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a friendly and warm attitude. Make them feel comfortable from the moment they walk in.
- Seating Arrangements: Offer appropriate seating based on guest preferences and availability. Ensure that seating arrangements are managed efficiently.
- Menu Presentation: Present menus to guests and ensure that they have everything they need to make their dining decisions.
- Maintaining Menu Supply: Ensure the availability of enough menus for all guests in the dining area and replenish as needed.
- Dining Room Setup: Help set up the dining room and ensure tables are neatly arranged and prepared for guests.
- Work Area Maintenance: Keep the dining area, tables, and surrounding work areas clean and organized throughout your shift.
- Assisting the Team: Support servers and bussers when needed, helping with tasks such as clearing tables or delivering menus.
Ideal Candidate:
We’re looking for a positive, outgoing individual who enjoys working in a team environment. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience: While previous experience as a host is an asset, it is not required. We value a friendly attitude and willingness to learn.
- Excellent Communication Skills: You must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with both guests and team members.
- Personable and Friendly Attitude: A warm, approachable demeanor is essential for ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Ability to Work Under Pressure: The ability to handle busy periods with grace and efficiency is important in this fast-paced setting.
- Team Player: You should be able to collaborate well with other team members, including servers and bussers.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekdays, weekends, and potentially evenings.
