Position Summary
Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Toronto International Airport is hiring Room Attendants to ensure a clean, welcoming, and comfortable environment for guests. This position plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality service while maintaining hotel standards.
Responsibilities
As a Room Attendant, your main duties will include:
- Responding promptly to guest requests and departmental needs.
- Preparing and transporting housekeeping carts to assigned areas.
- Cleaning guest rooms following procedures, including replenishing amenities, replacing linens, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Removing trash, dirty linens, and room service items.
- Ensuring all appliances are present and functioning in guest rooms.
- Dusting, polishing, and removing marks from walls and furniture.
- Performing floor care tasks, such as vacuuming carpets and cleaning hallways.
Additional duties include:
- Adhering to safety, security, and company policies.
- Reporting maintenance issues and hazards.
- Supporting team goals and assisting individuals with disabilities.
- Maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to confidentiality standards.
- Performing other tasks as requested by supervisors.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Pushing and pulling loaded housekeeping carts over uneven surfaces.
- Reaching, bending, twisting, and stooping throughout the shift.
- Prolonged standing, kneeling, sitting, or walking during the workday.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: No formal education required (no high school diploma or GED).
- Experience: No prior work experience necessary.
- Supervisory Experience: Not required.
- License or Certification: None required.
